# Plugins

The **Plugins** page creates distributable bundles that package MCP servers and skills together, assigns them to roles, and publishes them to Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex marketplaces via GitHub. Open it from **Distribute > Plugins** in the dashboard.

## Access requirements

<Callout type="info">
  Viewing this page requires the `project:read` scope. Installing, updating, or configuring plugins requires the `project:write` scope, and adding or distributing a skill via a plugin requires the `skill:write` scope. Viewing is included in both the [default Admin and Member roles](/docs/ai-control-plane/org-admin/roles-and-permissions); the Member role can view plugins, but mutations are Admin-only.

## Marketplace

Plugins publish through a GitHub-backed marketplace. Set it up once, then manage it from the marketplace card: rename it, manage GitHub collaborators, and **Sync** to re-publish. A default plugin automatically includes newly created MCP servers, so new servers become instantly available for installation.

## Managing plugins

Create a plugin with a name and description, then manage its contents from the detail page:

- Add and remove MCP servers, and manage bundled skills
- **Assignments** — assign the plugin to roles or members; assignments gate delivery for the device agent
- **Install** — per-client installation instructions with copy buttons for Claude Code, Claude Cowork, Cursor, and Codex, covering per-user marketplace registration, org-wide managed settings, and team marketplace registration
- **Publish** — push the plugin to the GitHub marketplace

A **Platform Plugins** section provides the observability plugin per platform — the component that feeds the [Observe](/docs/ai-control-plane/observe) section's data.
