Once the best way to look for work in other regions, self-taping has become an industry standard for auditioning. Actors now have to take on the role of casting director – creating a suitable environment for taping, directing the scene, selecting and editing the best take, and submitting the tape for consideration – in addition to delivering an unforgettable audition!
Whether you have an in-home studio or a phone propped on a shelf — in this 3-session workshop, you’ll learn how to set up your space, create a story, make strong choices, direct yourself, and choose the right take to deliver professional auditions. Video submissions will be viewed and evaluated during sessions 2 and 3.
Though this workshop was designed with working actors in mind, actors of all levels of experience and expertise are welcome to join.
