People around the world often celebrate auspicious occasions with a glorious spread of food. The first day of the calendar year is one such occasion. In this workshop, Miller will give attendees a guided tour of different New Year's Day food traditions around the world. Miller will then take a closer look at how people with roots in the American South traditionally eat on New Year's Day, namely greens for prosperity and black-eyed peas for good luck with cooking demonstrations for each dish. You'll be sent a shopping list in time before the event so that you can follow along with the cooking demonstration!
