In this workshop, you will have the chance to develop your own project, whether an ongoing project you’ve already begun working on or an entirely new body of work. You will receive feedback and advice on how to pursue your project so you can take it to the next level.

• Session 1: In session 1, Loulou will introduce you to her own work, including various long-term projects she's done in her career. She'll give advice on how to move a project forward, how to get funding, what to think about when you start working on a project, and how to keep the momentum going in a long-term project. Since this is an intimate, interactive workshop, everyone will have the opportunity to introduce themselves and to talk briefly about their projects. Loulou will give everyone an assignment to work on between sessions to help advance their personal projects.

• Session 2: This will be a live critique session, with presentations and discussions of each person's progress, as well as tips from Loulou on how each person can move forward with their work. One learns a lot by listening to the process of others, so listening in on the presentations and critique of other students' work can be as important as discussing one's own. After this session, you will send Loulou a sample of your work that she will review and provide feedback on ahead of the last session.

• Session 3: In this last session, we will work on editing the material produced during the workshop. You will be invited to edit the work of other participants in the workshop and will walk away with helpful edits to your work. Learning how to edit your own work and others' work is an important skill for furthering your long-term projects and when applying for photo grants and competitions.
