Over two sessions, we’ll walk through key elements of great fiction, including emotion, conflict, setting, tension, dialogue, and character development, and explore ways to incorporate these elements into your own manuscript. Examples of topics we’ll dive into include spotting emotional triggers, internal vs. external conflicts, realistic setting details for realistic characters, creating tension and why you need it, introducing characters through dialogue, and techniques to make readers care about your characters. After the workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to submit the first five pages of your story to Lauren for feedback.
Take advantage of this rare opportunity to learn from a bestselling author and get her feedback on your manuscript. This intimate workshop is designed for beginning and intermediate fiction writers, whether unpublished or published.
