Foley was a collegiate soccer All-American and went on to be a graduate assistant coach at James Madison University. After 4 years at JMU as an assistant, Foley accepted a position as head coach and lecturer of kinesiology at Angelo State University. After a quick one year stint in Texas she accepted the Head women’s soccer job at Boston College and was there for 22 years. The team under Foley’s tutelage went to the NCAA tournament 16 times including 8- Sweet 16’s, 3- Elite 8’s and an appearance in the 2010 Final Four.

She is also the founder of “Soccer on the Mat,” a hybrid yoga class that incorporates soccer, strength, and conditioning.  She is the co-author of “How to Coach Girls” and “The Elusive Full Ride Scholarship: An Insider’s Guide”. Currently she is working as a U.S. Youth National team Scout while being the principal of Foley Athletic Advising.
