Bio

The History of America in My Lifetime is Brooks Sterritt's first novel. His fiction has appeared widely in print and online, including in Puerto del Sol, Salt Hill, Green Mountains Review, Subtropics, Forever Magazine, and elsewhere. Recent essays and criticism have appeared in The Nation, Current Affairs, The Los Angeles Review of Books, The San Francisco Chronicle, and Full Stop, among others. Sterritt received his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Chicago, M.F.A. from Emerson College, and B.A. from Wake Forest University. His research and teaching interests center on creative writing, history and theory of the novel, American literature, and film.
