Dr. Shiffman has spoken to school groups about sharks and marine biology in all 50 states and has bylines in National Geographic, the Washington Post, Scientific American, and a monthly column in SCUBA Diving Magazine. He is one of the most-followed scientists on social media in the world, and he has trained over 600 scientists, natural resource managers, and environmental advocates how to use online tools to improve their public science engagement.
