Richard Eisenberg is the Managing Editor and Senior Editor of the Money and Work & Purpose Channels at Next Avenue, https://www.nextavenue.org, a PBS site for people 50+. He is also a regular blogger there. Previously, he was Executive Editor at Money magazine, Money Editor/Special Projects Director at Good Housekeeping, Front Page Finance Editor for Yahoo!, a Senior Editor at CBS MoneyWatch and personal finance reporter for USA Today. 

 

He received the 2017 Personal Finance Reporting Award for the best online article from the Radio Television Digital News Association/National Endowment for Financial Education, “Sorry, Nobody Wants Your Parents’ Stuff.” Eisenberg has written two books, “How to Avoid a Mid-Life Financial Crisis” and “The Money Book of Personal Finance,” and was an Age Boom Academy Fellow, a Gerontological Society of America Journalists in Aging Fellow, and a National Press Foundation Retirement Fellow. He is a frequent speaker and moderator on retirement, work and money after 50 and aging in America. He graduated from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism and lives in New Jersey.
