GitHub Copilot now runs on the Speakeasy AI control plane

While ChatGPT and Claude dominate the airwaves, GitHub Copilot is quietly one of the most used AI agents in the market. This is down to the dominance of the Microsoft ecosystem and the agent coming pre-installed in VS Code. The enterprise AI story is not complete without considering Copilot.

Copilot session data lands in the same view as every other agent on the platform, so when you're investigating what happened, who ran which agent and which tools fired are in one place rather than split across per-vendor consoles. Identity, policy, and observability all flow through the pipeline you already operate — Copilot is a new agent on it, not a new system beside it.

Nothing changes for developers

This release instruments the GitHub Copilot that's already installed in VS Code. There's no new extension to roll out, no migration, and no one is asked to switch agents. Developers keep working the way they were; the difference shows up on your side of the dashboard, not theirs.
