What is SOC 2?
SOC 2 is an auditing standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). It evaluates an organization's controls related to security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy. A Type II report assesses the design and operating effectiveness of these controls over a period of time, as opposed to a Type I report which evaluates controls at a single point in time.
