MCP Gateway

Agent Identity reaches every organization, and OpenAPI uploads get a change review

Agent Identity, agent API keys, and workload sessions are no longer behind a rollout flag: every organization can create and authorize its own agents today. Uploading a new version of an OpenAPI source also gets a safety check, with a review of what it breaks before anything deploys. More on this in Agent identity and Sources.

Features

  • Agent Identity is on for every organization — Agent Identity management, agent API keys, agent selection during MCP authorization, workload sessions, and assistant workload identity no longer sit behind rollout flags. Every organization can create agent identities, mint their API keys, and attach workload sessions today. (#7471, @danielkov)
  • Review what an OpenAPI update changes before it deploys — Uploading a new version of an OpenAPI source now opens with a summary of breaking and warning changes, such as removed tools, new required inputs, and changed credentials, plus which MCP servers and how many of their tools are affected, all before anything ships. (#7439, @simplesagar)
  • Start a risk policy from a use case or a plain-language description — Pick a ready-made use case, such as protecting customer data or blocking destructive actions in production, or describe the risk and review a drafted policy before the wizard opens prefilled. Prompt-based presets are still rolling out behind a flag. (#6796, @AshGodfrey)
  • Identity chaining for MCP servers that share a sign-in with an identity provider client (admin only, rolling out behind a flag) — Enable identity chaining on a remote MCP server whose user session issuer trusts an IdP sign-in client, choose the scopes it requests, and disable it with a warning that everyone falls back to interactive sign-in. (#7344, @daviddanialy)

Bug fixes

  • Project Assistants describe the platform by its current name — Existing Project Assistants created before the product's rename now run with the latest built-in instructions, so they refer to the platform as Speakeasy instead of its old name. Instructions a project has edited by hand are left as they are. (#7417, @adaam2)
