MCP Gateway
With directory sync on, a role's page now shows exactly which directory groups and attribute values grant it, and MCP servers reachable only from a tailnet, VPN, or other private address can finally be added. More on this in Directory sync and roles.
Features
- See which directory groups and attribute values grant a role — With directory sync on, a role's page now lists the directory groups and attribute values that give it out, with member counts and links to the mappings on IDP and SSO, in place of a read-only member list. A role nothing is mapped to says so, with a shortcut to map one. (#7508, @qstearns)
- Add MCP servers that only resolve on your own network — Creating an MCP server whose clients connect to it directly no longer requires Speakeasy to resolve or reach its URL, so a server on a tailnet, VPN, or other private address now saves instead of failing with "invalid server url". (#7505, @qstearns)
- A warning before changing a shared sign-in (admin facing) — MCP server settings now confirm before replacing, attaching, or detaching a user session issuer that other servers share, naming which servers and clients would need to sign in again. (#7485, @bflad)
- Shadow AI is folding into Guardrails, Watchdog, and Risk Events (rolling out behind a flag) — Shadow AI becomes a policy type inside Guardrails with its own Access, Scope, and Review flow, a Watchdog tile, and a Risk Events category filter, instead of its own sidebar section. The relabeling of Watchdog's existing Shadow MCP tile to Shadow AI is live for everyone today. (#7425, @subomi)
- Google Antigravity joins the known-client catalog — Antigravity's desktop app and CLI are now recognized by client ID metadata presets and Shadow AI scanning, so organizations using CIMD presets don't need to add a custom client URL for it. (#7534, @bflad)
